I bounced the landing at Duxford. More than once.

So I assumed I had mistimed the flare, but watching the footage back, the flare was the last link in the chain rather than the first. I took the crosswind correction out too early, the right wing caught, lifted, and KK came down on one wheel and got straight back up again.

The reason I did that sits about two miles earlier. A straight-in approach, which I've never been good at, into a busy circuit with Fowlmere active off my left, an aircraft departing the runway I was aiming at, and a two-mile reporting point nothing on the chart marks. Somewhere in the middle of it I started re-running checks I'd already done, which is the clearest sign I know that I was running out of brain capacity.

Duxford's runway is also wider than anything I fly into regularly, and a wide runway reads as lower than you actually are. So tke a rusty pilot, an unfamiliar sight picture will give you a high flare. The bounce almost had to happen.
